slow cafe メニュー決定！
八尾スローアートショーの会場に設けられる"slow cafe"のメニューが確定しました！！
ハンモックもあるので、まったり、ゆったりしていってくださいね〜。
Yatsuo Slow Art Show 2009 - Community, Arts, and School
Since 2004, YSAS Committee has been organizing the art event called Yatsuo Slow Art Show (YSAS), placed in a small village called Yatsuo in Japan. The event will be at an old wooden school building, which used to be used as an elementary school but closed because they don't have enough children in the village anymore. Yatsuo is a small town, population of little over 20,000, about100 miles northwest of Tokyo, closer to The Sea of Japan surrounded by mountain. Their main industry is farming. Yatsuo and so as other communities in small towns in Japan is facing a big problem of population drain and aging. Yatsuo used to have 7 elementary schools in 2004 but there is only 1 school left in 2009. YSAS Committee has been trying to find a way to use these old schools for art event will bring the community to be active, the children and audience to have great memories in this old school and feel this little town is international, artistic, and cultural where they want to stay or come back to live in the future.

YSAS AIR 開始しました！
ニューヨークから小林園実さんとドミニック・エンゲルさんが、八尾で滞在制作しています。竹でつくるスタードームに世界地図を描き、樫尾小学校の児童と「コネクション〜つながり〜」と題した作品を制作予定です。
来日に先立ち、ニューヨークで彼らを応援するファンドレイジング（募金）パーティが開かれました。
ニューヨークでは、芸術家の層も厚くこうした芸術家を支援することにも寛容で、羨ましい限り。もちろん、目は肥えていますが、、、。

スタードーム試作ワークショップを行いました！！
樫尾小学校のPTAの方々を中心に20人ほど集まっていただきました。
竹を伐採するところからはじめ、竹を割ってサンダーをかけ、パーツをつなぎ、さぁ、立ち上げ。「ウォー」歓声とともに立ち上がりました。大きな天幕の制作も一苦労。皆さん丁寧に、迅速に作業をしてくださり、思った以上にうまく行きました。10月4日にはいよいよ樫尾小学校旧木造校舎のグランドに4つのドームがお目見えです。今年の八尾スローアートショーは今までと違う風景が生まれそうです。
